More about CLAY:
CLAY is one of Barcelona’s alternative Concept Stores, close to Picasso Museum in Born. Homewares, Handbags, Jewelry, Linen Towels, Organic Clothing &Furniture. Almost all our items come from the Mediterranean countries and cultures.
Some of the Press Reviews we’ve had since we opened in 2014 include Time Out Barcelona, Apartamento Magazine, Appetite and Other Stores, and other blogs and instagram feeds around the world:
Time Out Barcelona mentioned (22/08/2018)
“Three professional interior decorator friends, fashion design and jewelry are the elements of CLAY, a lifestyle shop located on the ground floor of a 16th century house in Born area. Uneven floors filled with straw carpets, 18th century walls and a shop selection curated with good taste, inspired in the Mediterranean and assembled through the different trips of the owners. They support authentic items, pure, essentials, that have the imprint of a human craft. Like the ceramic bowls from Almeria artisan potters, the blowed glass items made in Syria, the fabrics – most of them coming from Turkey – and the straw baskets made in a women empowerment program from Bangla Desh. Here you’ll also find clothing from brands such as YMC, Ganni and cosmetics by Meraki. They’ll soon have Alex Carro and local eco cosmetics.”
Appetite and Other Stories mentioned (01/06/2016)
“The narrow streets in the Born locked in by Santa Maria del Mar Cathedral, the busy street of the Picasso museum, Princesa and Argenteria are becoming my favourite places to stroll, to explore and find new independent stores. Just about two months ago the block got a new member, CLAY on Banys Vells 11, just a stone throw from the stores La Tercera, Colmado, Ivori, La Clinique and the wine bar El Soplo.”…
